US Open: no main draw for Federico Cinà

Federico Cinà failed to make it to the main draw at the US Open 2025: the 18-year-old Azzurro was defeated in the second round of the qualifying round of the season&#8217s last Slam by Argentine Federico Agustin Gomez, at the end of a match interrupted on Wednesday evening and resumed on Thursday.

The South American tennis player prevailed with scores of 6-3 2-6 7-5 in an hour and 54 minutes of play and will face Frenchman Hugo Grenier in the third round.

Ciná compared to Wednesday held the court better, winning the second set clearly, but the Argentine in the third set regained his best tennis, earning the passage to the round with a break in the 11th game.
