Lavia fractures two fingers in national team, Trentino Volleyball ready to seek damages

Trentino Volleyball announced that earlier today in Verona, during a training session with the Italian national team, setter Daniele Lavia suffered a multi-fragmentary compound fracture, with associated tendon injuries, of both the fourth and fifth fingers of the right hand.
The player underwent surgery for reduction, bone stabilization and tendon suturing at the Borgo Trento Hospital in Verona on Saturday afternoon by Chief Dr. Massimo Corain. To be evaluated the recovery time, which will still be very long.
“The Company’s management today just wants to think about welcoming Daniele as soon as possible to begin the physical work-therapeutic most appropriate for an optimal recovery of the player. Instead, in the coming days the issue regarding responsibilities, including economic-financial ones, will be addressed with the federal leadership, considering that the athlete, due to an injury suffered during the long period of convocation with the Italian national team, will have to skip an important part of the SuperLega Championship, with a considerable damage for the Club” they let Trento know.
