Serie A 2025-2026: Cagliari-Fiorentina, the probable formations

At the Unipol Domus the championship kicks off for Cagliari and Fiorentina, protagonists of the first day of Serie A 2025/26. Both have already tasted the atmosphere of official competitions: the Rossoblù made their debut in the Coppa Italia by overcoming Virtus Entella in front of their home crowd, while the Viola faced the first leg of the Conference League playoffs against Polissya in Slovakia.

Pisacane has not yet cleared his doubts on the form: he could go for a 4-3-3, with Obert and Zappa on the defensive outside, Mina and Luperto in the middle. In midfield, space for the physicality of Deiola, Adopo and Folorunsho. In attack, possible debut from the 1′ of Kilicsoy, flanked by Luvumbo and Esposito; alternative Borrelli.

Pioli, on the other hand, seems to be leaning toward 3-4-1-2. In goal De Gea, defense with Comuzzo, Pongracic and Ranieri. On the flanks Dodò and Gosens, in the middle Sohm and Fagioli. On the three-quarter Gudmundsson, behind the offensive tandem that could be Kean-Dzeko or, if Ndour is used, a more classic 3-5-2 with Gudmundsson alongside Kean.
