The transfer of Jakub Kiwior to Porto does not seem to be far from completion but the final word is still missing. After Arsenal’s match against Leeds United, the two clubs resumed contacts for the former Spezia player and the Portuguese presented a new offer: loan with a buy-back obligation, for a total value of more than 20 million euros. Arsenal’s management is expected to meet today to decide, and the deal could close soon, although a positive outcome initially seemed unlikely.

In July, in fact, Porto had made an initial attempt, but Arsenal’s demand for 30 million had blocked everything. As time went on, however, the situation changed: Kiwior dropped in the team’s hierarchies, with Saliba and Gabriel as permanent starters and the arrival of Mosquera from Valencia.

The team’s hierarchies changed.

Last season the Pole collected 30 appearances with good performances, including in the Champions League. But this year he was not even summoned on the first day, and on the second Arteta preferred Mosquera to him, a clear sign that he can do without him. Italians on the alert.
