Injuries and difficulties in adapting to the bike finally seem to be behind him for Jorge Martin, who in Hungary finished in points in both the Sprint Race, which he finished in ninth place, and especially the Sunday race, in which he stroked the dream of finishing on the podium, finishing in fourth place. The defending world champion wants to confirm his progress in the next MotoGp race weekend, in Catalonia at the home of Marc Marquez.

“I can’t wait to get to Barcelona, I have so many good memories from last year – said the Madrid centaur to the channels of the House of Noale -It is a track that I really like and where I have always gone strong in recent years. Now I start to find myself better on the bike, I think it is a very important race to continue to build confidence, get to know the bike better and continue on our path with the same approach we had in Balaton”.

With the bis world impossible for some time already, due to the long absence for the various physical problems suffered from February to early summer, Jorge Martin has only one thought between now and the end of the season: to prove that he has found the right confidence with the’Aprilia not only at the driving level, but also with regard to the relationship with the team.

The 27-year-old rider has eight races to try for important results: after Barcelona there are in fact Misano, Motegi, Mandalika, Phillip Island, Sepang (the circuit where he suffered his first serious injury of the season, during pre-season testing), Portimao and Valencia. Martin is currently 20th in the overall standings, with 23 points to his credit.
