Kolo Muani-Juventus: a long summer negotiation ended without an agreement, and now a surprising backstory has popped up. The Frenchman, who played for Juventus in the second half of last season, was the name at the top of Comolli and Tudor’s list.

The Bianconeri club has long tried to bring him back to Turin for this season as well, but it has always come up against the wall raised by PSG, which is also grappling with the Gianlugi Donnarumma issue and is determined not to let the striker leave unless on its own terms.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport there was a twist in the last hours of the market: the Bianconeri management was still negotiating with the Parisians for a loan deal. PSG, however, was still demanding a permanent transfer on the conditions already set. Then, around 3 a.m., a call came from Paris: the club was finally willing to accept even a one-year dry loan.

By then, however, it was too late. Comolli, by then tired of the back-and-forth, had changed strategy and decided to go for Loïs Openda, who was made official as a new reinforcement for Tudor. Kolo Muani, on the other hand, ended up at Tottenham.
