Rapper Drake bets a crazy amount on Jannik Sinner
Rap rapper and record producer Drake has decided to bet a huge amount on Jannik Sinner winning the US Open. Drake, who last year mistakenly bet about $200,000 on Taylor Fritz, put $300,000 in the pot for the success of the world number one, who landed in the quarterfinals after a victory over Bublik.
Carlos Alcaraz’s current form did not faze the rapper, who announced his decision on social media immediately after the Blue’s victory over the Kazakh.
In 2024, Drake decided to bet instead against the’South Tyrolean, who instead later prevailed in the final over Taylor Fritz, winning his second career Slam. The multimillionaire producer is famous for his crazy bets with alternating fortunes: a few months ago he lost more than half a million dollars on the defeat of Tyson Fury, while in the past he zeroed in on the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory, cashing in more than two million dollars.
Sinner will face Lorenzo Musetti for a spot in the semifinals on Wednesday night or Thursday, no earlier than 2:10 a.m. Italian time. The South Tyrolean L’Azzurro has won his last 25 matches on concrete in Grand Slam tournaments.
