US Open: Novak Djokovic beats Taylor Fritz and challenges Carlos Alcaraz

Novak Djokovic’s big dream of winning the 25th Slam of his career is still achievable. The Serb, at the end of a match of enormous quality, beat Taylor Fritz, earning a pass for the semifinals at the US Open.

Novak Djokovic took three hours and 20 minutes to get the better of the’American. After winning the first two sets (6-3, 7-5), the Serb had a lapse in the third set, which he lost 6-3. Taylor Fritz’s reaction came to a halt at the most beautiful moment with Novak Djokovic good at closing the file in the fourth set (6-4).

During the match, especially in the third set, the’former world No. 1 argued several times with the audience, clearly on the side of the’home idol. A success that gives all tennis fans a semifinal of great interest, namely Novak Djokovic against Carlos Alcaraz.

After the match, Novak Djokovic indulged in a dance in honor of his daughter: “In 20 minutes it’s midnight, here it’s September 2 and it’s my daughter’s birthday. The dance you saw at the end is for her. Tomorrow morning I will take a grade for it because she was the one who taught it to me. It is a song by K-pop Demon Hunters, it is called Soda Pop. Clearly I didn&#8217t know it until my daughter taught it to me a few months ago. When we are together at home I do choreography with her” explained the Serbian in the post-match.
