Federica Brignone and Sofia Goggia remember Giorgio Armani

The two icons of blue alpine skiing, Federica Brignone and Sofia Goggia, wanted to remember Giorgio Armani, who was a technical sponsor of the Italian Winter Sports Federation and who passed away today at the age of 91.
“I am very sorry, especially for the family. Mr. Armani was a’fashion icon in Italy and around the world. He was always close to the sport and for that we thank him very much,” said the last World Cup winner.
“I remember that he once invited us all to his garden to take a picture together, and that showed his simplicity and humility. So many condolences. He was great,” Brignone concluded.
“Elegant, refined, and iconic: Giorgio Armani was that with his creativity, meticulous attention to detail, far-sighted vision, and courage to pursue his own ideas, he marked an era, of fashion and of being Italian in the world,” Goggia said in a video to FISI.
“He was a man who also wanted to bring his noble values to the world of Italian sports, cheering and supporting them with his class and selflessness. He urged us to pursue the beauty of our authenticity and allowed us to enhance it through unique creations,” concluded the Bergamasque outfielder.
