Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton finds motivation for Monza

These were the words of Ferrari’s Briton Lewis Hamilton in the press conference on the eve of the three-day Italian Grand Prix in Monza. The seven-time world champion finds special motivation in the five-place grid penalty for not observing yellow flags at Zandvoort.
“It is a severe penalty: I lifted my foot but not enough for the marshals. It’s okay, it will be tough but it gives me even more desire to fight. It is a roller coaster ride. In Holland I made an unusual mistake for me, it had been one of our most solid weekends before a disappointing race for everyone. But the team supports me, it lifts morale.”
“I like to think positive, we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. There is no use stressing about tomorrow, I don’t want to put shadows on the present. We have not discussed it but I would be available. However, I have always thought it is a practice that has more risks than benefits”.
Hailed at the beginning of the season, indeed, even a year and a half ago when his signing was made official, as Ferrari’s savior of the homeland, Hamilton has seized as his only seasonal satisfaction the victory in the sprint race of the Chinese Grand Prix, otherwise in a Sunday race he has never been on the podium and is sixth in the drivers’ standings.
