F1: Pierre Gasly signs at Monza and stays at Alpine until 2028

In Monza he won his only GP in Formula 1 in 2020. Five years later, Pierre Gasly, right in Monza, signs his contract extension with l’Alpine. He will remain with the transalpine stable until the end of the 2028 season.

BWT Alpine Formula One Team is pleased to announce that Pierre Gasly has made a long-term commitment to the team, extending his contract until the end of the 2028 season of the FIA Formula One World Championship“, reads the official statement issued by the French team itself.

Pierre Gasly commented on his decision to tie himself to’Alpine until 2028 as follows: “I am thrilled to entrust my long-term future to Alpine. As a Frenchman in particular, driving for a French automaker makes me very proud. Since I joined the team in 2023, I have always felt that this is the right place for the future“.

Satisfied also Flavio Briatore, increasingly “driving man” of the’Alpine:Pierre has been an immense asset to the team during this difficult period. I have been very impressed with his attitude, dedication, and talent, and we look forward to continuing this project together for a long time. The future? We are well prepared for the new era of Formula 1, which will begin in 2026, and we now have our confirmed main driver to accompany us into the future”, his clear words.
