When does Aryna Sabalenka play in the Us Open final: history with Amanda Anisimova

Aryna Sabalenka has hit her third US Open final in a row. To confirm the title in New York, the world number one will have to overcome the Amanda Anisimova obstacle, number eight in the seeding and nine in the WTA rankings, in her second consecutive Slam final.

The match between the Belarusian and the U.S. is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 6, no earlier than 10 p.m. Italian time (4 p.m. local time) on the Artur Ashe Stadium at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center’USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Opening the program will be the men’s doubles final.

There are as many as 9 previous matches between Sabalenka and Anisimova with the American ahead 6-3: the most recent was played in the last Wimbledon semifinal with the American winning in three sets, avenging her defeat to the Belarusian in the round of 16 at the last Roland Garros.

Anisimova was victorious on five other occasions: quarterfinals WTA 1000 Toronto 2024, first round WTA 1000 Madrid 2022, eighth round WTA 500 Charleston 2022, second round Roland Garros 2019, and 16th round Australian Open 2019. Sabalenka, on the other hand, beat the American in the round of 16 of the Australian Open 2024 and the quarterfinals of the Internazionali d’Italia 2022.
