Marc gets off to a great start and burns at the first corner his brother Alex, who started from the pole position, who tries the immediate counterattack without succeeding, behind them Acosta, Quartararo and Marini, the last two are then overtaken by Bastianini. Further back Bezzecchi touches Morbidelli and falls, Di Giannantonio to avoid him also ends up on the ground.

In a short time takes off a quartet formed by the Marquez, Acosta and Bastianini and Alex at the braking of the first corner manages to pass his older brother at the beginning of the fourth lap. At the same braking, on the 11th pass, Bastianini passes brand mate Acosta and is third behind the two Spaniards.

Nothing more changes in the very first positions and for Alex it is the fourteenth victory in a Grand Prix, the second in MotoGP and the other one he had obtained again at home and just this year, in Jerez de la Frontera.

But above all it interrupts an incredible series of fifteen victories between sprint races and Sunday races of his brother Marc, from whom he is now 182 points away.

Bastianini is third and takes his first podium of the season ahead of Acosta, fifth is Quartararo, sixth is the Japanese Aprilia Trackhouse Ai Ogura and seventh is Pecco Bagnaia, Marc Marquez’s teammate, who makes a great comeback with his factory Ducati from 21st place on the grid and finishes ahead of Luca Marini.
