Pecco Bagnaia: "No false hopes. With Ducati we say things to each other"

Ducati rider Pecco Bagnaia commented on his comeback from 21st to seventh place in Catalonia, where he showed signs of awakening at the end of a nightmarish weekend. “In terms of feeling today I felt a little bit better, I was able to have a little bit more grip that gave me that confidence to be able to enter the corners stronger without having that constant movement that has bothered me all weekend”.
To Sky, the Piedmontese rider preferred to keep his head down: “I do not want to give false hopes. After Balaton I was very convinced that I would arrive here and immediately find myself well, but instead it was the most complicated weekend of my career since I have been on the factory Ducati. I arrive in Misano as cautious as possible, trying to have as little pressure as possible because we know how Misano is also a particular track with a lot of grip, but you need to be okay”.
“I don“t want to give and give myself false hopes, let“s get there cautious and see if we can do the best we can. Ducati? The good thing is that we have a special relationship. In the end we won two titles together, we are the ones who brought Ducati back to win and so there is the maximum support and trust from everyone. Knowing each other well, we tell it like it is and there is definitely a lot of good work going on. I have never felt a lack of support all season”.
