Vero Volleyball Milan, Celeste Plak arrives: new vice-Egonu introduces herself

Vero Volley Milano has made official the’arrival of Dutch opposing player Celeste Plak: class of 1995, the new vice-Egonu comes to Italy after her experience in Brazil at Gerdau Minas and will be part of the roster available to coach Stefano Lavarini for the first part of the 2025-2026 season. Plak has already played in Italy, at Bergamo from 2014 to 2016, at AGIL Volley Novara nal 2016 to 2019 and at Roma Volley Club for a few months in 2023.

Even if only for a part of the season, I hope to give the team a hand right away to get off to the best start on the path to the Scudetto. In her rich palmarès, Celeste Plak boasts a national cup (2013) and a Dutch championship (2014) with l’Alterno, an Italian Cup (2016) with Bergamo, a Scudetto (2017), two more Italian Cups (2018 and 2019), an Italian Supercup (2017) and a Champions League (2019) with l’AGIL Volley, a Brazilian Supercup and a Minas Gerais championship (both in 2025) with Gerdau Minas.
Plak has also collected important results with the Dutch women’s national team: in particular, she won two silvers at the European Championships, in 2015 and 2017, a bronze at the World Grand Prix in 2016, and another bronze, again at the European Championships, in 2023. Celeste Plak is the older sister of volleyball player Fabian Plak, who recently signed a deal with Cisterna after two seasons in Padua.
