Massimiliano Allegri commented on his AC Milan’s victory at home with Bologna (1-0) to the microphones of Sky Sport: “It was important to win, at home, not to concede goals for the second consecutive game, in difficult moments the team remained compact”.

Deciding the challenge was Luka Modric who scored his first goal in Serie A: “Luka is a pleasure to watch him play, he is a really humble guy. He is wonderful because he knows where the ball ends up a minute before, but all the guys played a good game”.

“If we want to finish in the top four we need to take few goals, this is what the numbers have been saying for the past 25 years – added the Rossoneri coach. “We created the chances, when Bologna had the ball the team hardly risked anything”.

The Diavolo coach was expelled in the final for a penalty revoked from the Rossoneri by referee Marcenaro after Var review: “There’was the penalty episode and at that moment I had a disagreement with the 4th man. No big deal, luckily the jacket saved me”.

At the beginning of the second half Mike Maignan was knocked out: “In Udine I think he won&#8217t be there because the calf is very dangerous however there is Terracciano who made a good debut and Torriani who is a very good young man. The important thing is to know how to work through the difficulties”.

“It&#8220s an amazing group of guys because they work hard, they don&#8217t complain and we all have the goal of reaching the goal of getting back into the Champions League. We shouldn&#8217t get excited with tonight&#8217s win, we need to continue and improve on the level of play and the defensive phase, but the boys are doing very well” concluded Allegri.
