Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc looks forward with confidence to the weekend in Baku, where he has previously achieved no less than four pole positions: “I am always comfortable on city circuits, but here there is some extra factor that allows me to go particularly strong, which is good. Despite this, I have not yet won in Baku and so my goal is to try to do so this weekend”.

“What exhilarates me is the overall feeling of being very decisive under braking, with the knowledge that even the slightest blockage can be fatal, as there are no escape routes”, continued the Monegasque speaking about the Azerbaijan GP. “It is a feeling that exhilarates me, especially in qualifying, when you have to push hard and risk everything: this kind of adrenaline gets me excited”

Lewis Hamilton is always in the hunt for a podium finish that he still misses in Ferrari: “To think about winning is a bit far-fetched, since I have finished between sixth and eighth for most of the season. It would be great to get on the podium for the team at some point. Charles has already gotten five … I am optimistic about this weekend, I think I have found a couple of things and now I have to work on extracting more potential”.
