After 20 years together, Christian Horner and Red Bull have said goodbye. The Austrian team, in order to end his contract early (expires 2030), gave him a rich severance package. The’former team principal, now, will seek a new challenge in the world of Formula 1.

The manager, first and foremost, will have to stay put for nine months (gardening leave). As a result, he will be free to sign for a new team before the&#8217summer of 2026. Someone of his experience (and with such an important palmares as a calling card) is already appealing to many teams.

Beware, in particular, of Aston Martin and Alpine. The former is enlisting the best to attempt the big leap and become a winning stable (Adrian Newey worked extensively with Christian Horner at Red Bull). The French stable has been sailing in bad waters for too long. A great manager capable of changing the face of Alpine would be needed.

Beware of Ferrari, too. On social media, there are many who believe that someone like Christian Horner would be perfect for the Redhead. His leadership, coupled with a great ability to create the right team, could make the Italian team perfect and able to return to its former glory. It should be pointed out that, last July, Frederic Vasseur signed a multi-year deal with Ferrari. However, especially in F1, contracts can also be torn up.
