Jannik Sinner explains the difficulties he had against Terence Atmane

So Jannik Sinner explains victory and difficulties in the second round of the China Open, against Terence Atmane.
“I am trying to do new things on the court, and I am spending enough mental strength on that, however, we have to be careful not to do too much. We must not twist my identity, change everything I am as a player”.
“Right now I am trying to do, let’80% of my usual tennis and a 20% novelty; in my opinion I should get to 90-95% of who I am and try to change a 5% and maybe at the beginning do these different things in the quieter moments.
“I am thinking mostly about the rotations on serve, then today I tried more of the short ball, the serve and volley. But I have to be careful not to lose who I am. However, it is all part of the process, it is normal”.
“I still think too much, it is impossible to automate everything in such a short time. Marozsan? We faced each other in Halle more than a year ago. He is playing well. I have seen his matches here, he has very high spikes, hits hard and has a great touch. It’s a new challenge and I’m looking forward to it”.
