MotoGp, Ducati: Pecco Bagnaia gets a pebble off his shoe

Pole position first, victory in the Sprint then: the Saturday of Pecco Bagnaia in that of Motegi rekindles a smile in a season stingy with satisfaction and restores confidence to the three-time world champion (twice in MotoGp) in view of a final 2025 to be disputed with a free mind, without great pressure at the level of ranking.
“It is really a pity not to have arrived earlier at a result like that – said Bagnaia to the microphones of ‘Sky Sport’, at the conclusion of a memorable day for him -. The championship would have been completely different. There are only a few races left but we have to look ahead, we understood what needed to be changedand we touched the right keys”.
The Ducati rider then wanted to clarify a point with respect to the previous race weekends: “I have never stopped believing – he said with conviction -. I always said that when I was in a position to push I would do it and this weekend I finally felt competitive. The race was good, I am really happy”.
For Bagnaia, today’s is the first success at Sprint Race level in 2025: the victory in a short race had been missing since’the last event in 2024, the Solidarity GP held in Barcelona due to the unavailability of the Valencia circuit. The victory allows Pecco to strengthen his third place in the overall standings, given the withdrawal of Marco Bezzecchi: there are now 20 points ahead of the Aprilia rider from Rimini.
