Armand Laurienté drags Sassuolo: tris at'Udinese

Sunday’s fifth day of Serie A opened with a home victory for Sassuolo, which beat Udinese 3-1 at the Mapei Stadium. The Emilians double the lead with Laurienté and Koné in the first half, Davis shortens for the Friulians in the second half but Iannoni closes the score in the final.
After a double chance for the bianconeri with Zaniolo and Kristensen, the neroverdi set up a terrible one-two: at 8 Laurienté received from Berardi on the left and beat Sava with his left foot; four minutes later Koné doubled on an assist from the same Laurienté. On 26′ penalty awarded to Udinese but later revoked with Var. At 39′ the same scene: the referee awarded the penalty to the Friulans but removed it with the Var.
At the beginning of the second half Davis shortened the distance with a tap-in after Muric’s rebound on a shot by Atta. First Solet and then Davis came close to equalizing, but in the final period the newly entered Iannoni closed the score by making the final 3-1 with a header on an assist from Fadera.
Thanks to this victory, Sassuolo rises to 6 points in the standings momentarily in 12th place, -1 right from’Udinese, which remains in mid-table.
