For Enea Bastianini, the 2025 season has been rather stingy with satisfaction: in his first year in KTM after the’experience in the official Ducati team, the 2020 Moto2 world champion has collected only two podium appearances, one in the Sprint Race in the Czech Republic and one in the long race in Catalonia. ‘Beast’ however, he does not lose his smile and looks forward to the next GP, the one in Indonesia scheduled for the first weekend of October.

“We come from a difficult weekend in Japan – explained the Romagna centaur -, we struggled a lot in terms of speed in all sessions, but we left Motegi with positive feelings after the race. I hope we can confirm them in Mandalika in the next race. We will give 100 percent right from Friday morning, because it will be very important to qualify directly for Q2”.

As for what concerns his adaptation to the circuit, Bastianini has clear ideas: “That of the Indonesia GP is a very different track from Motegi, the weather conditions will be challenging, very hot and humid: we will see how to deal with this track with the KTM. I am really motivated, I want to give my best and see how it will go”.

Nineteen-year-old Enea Bastianini has been in MotoGp since the 2021 season: after a couple of seasons in Ducati’s customer teams (Avintia Esponsorama first, Gresini then) he made the big jump to the factory team of the Rossa di Borgo Panigale in 2023, staying for two seasons characterized by numerous ups and downs. In 2025 the move to KTM Tech3, where he shares the box with Maverick ViƱales.
