A wasteful Roma falls to Lille, Bologna remounted by Freiburg

Bitter evening for the Italians on the second day of the Europa League: Roma falls at home against Lille (0-1) by squandering a penalty kick in the final minutes of the game, while Bologna is put back by Freiburg (1-1) between friendly walls.
At the Stadio Olimpico, the French took an early lead through Haraldsson, who took advantage of a bad mistake by Tsimikas. Svilar kept the Giallorossi alive, who in the final had a glaring chance to equalize but incredibly first Dovbyk – twice – and then Soulé missed the same penalty kick.
At the Dall’Ara it was Orsolini who unblocked the game after half an hour of play with a winning tap-in after Atubolu failed to hold onto the ball on Cambiaghi’s shot. In the second half, however, the Germans found the equalizer through Adamu on a penalty kick.
In the standings, Roma remains stuck with 3 points, while Bologna gets its first point. On the next day, the Giallorossi will face Viktoria Plzen at home, while the Rossoblù will take on FCSB’FCSB away.
