MotoGP: Luca Marini the fastest in the first free practice of the GP d'Indonesia

First free practice in the sign of Honda. On the Mandalika circuit, home of the GP d’Indonesia, the fastest on the track was Luca Marini. L’azzurro set the best time: 1:30.809, showing a Honda definitely competitive and already at the top.
.
Behind him were, Pedro Acosta and Marco Bezzecchi, on KTM and Aprilia, respectively. Marc Marquez, fresh from his World Champion title (ninth title in his career), did not push as hard, ending the first free practice session with the fifth fastest time.
.
Pecco Bagnaia did not particularly shine. After being resurrected in Japan, where he won both the Sprint and the GP, the two-time World Champion lapped rather slowly, finishing the test with the 17th final time. L’azzurro seems to be looking for the right set-up to try to repeat what he managed to do last weekend in Motegi. The goal is clear: to end the season with more successes to make himself ready for the’start of next season.
Of note is the absence of Jorge Martin, who underwent surgery after his collarbone injury following a disastrous crash in the Sprint race at Motegi. Ai Ogura is also not present in Mandalika. He is expected to return to racing at Phillip Island.
