Milan market: the goalkeeper of the future has a name

The goalkeeping revolution underway in Milan, which next year should see a new fullback between the posts of the Nerazzurri, could also involve the Rossoneri.

The contract extension of Mike Maignan is in fact far from a foregone conclusion for a number of reasons, starting with the Frenchman’s demands and ending with a few too many muscle problems manifested recently.

The Diavolo’s man in the market, Igli Tare, has his eye on Elia Caprile, 24, a goalkeeper with considerable physical presence who has already gained experience in a top team, Napoli. However, he has decided to go another route because of the limited opportunity to play.

At the time of the current season, when it was clear that Antonio Conte’s Neapolitans were in the running for the Scudetto, he was transferred to Cagliari, where the goal was salvation: a goal achieved by the group then led by Davide Nicola also thanks to his good performances.

Now Caprile seems ready for the big jump. Under the Madonnina, Rossoneri side, they know it very well and they also know that there is no lack of competition and that there could even be a derby with Inter: in pole position for the Beneamata there seems to be another profile but as we know the ways of the market are endless.
