Thomas Ceccon returns to the subject of Jannik Sinner and clarifies his position

A few weeks ago, Thomas Ceccon’s words about Jannik Sinner had made a definite noise, especially when the blue swimming champion had compared the earnings of his sport with those of top-level tennis players: returning to the subject, the Vicenza native wanted to clarify his position, during an’interview given to ‘Corriere della Sera’.
“Envy towards Sinner? A gigantic nonsense – said Ceccon -They had asked me about the different visibility between tennis and swimming. To say that we swimmers if it goes well earn $15,000 is a fact, it is not jealousy. I am a fan of Jannik. But between headlines, likes, clicks, so many things are twisted becoming meaningless”.
Also at the microphones of Sportal.it, Ceccon had expressed all his esteem for Jannik Sinner: “I like his mentality so much– he had said on that occasion -. In swimming he has to be mentally strong, but not as much as in tennis: you can be down two sets and then recover in the other three, he showed us how it”.
Co-eternal with Sinner (both were born in 2001: the swimmer on January 27, the tennis player on August 16), Thomas Ceccon boasts an equally enviable resume: among his achievements are four Olympic medals, including one gold, in the 100-meter backstroke at the Paris 2024 Games), three world titles plus four more in the short course, four European golds plus two in the short course, and twenty-four Italian overall titles.
