AC Milan, another headstone: Massimiliano Allegri also risks losing Alexis Saelemaekers

Not enough the’injury of Pervis Estupiñan, which will most likely force Massimiliano Allegri to have to think about alternatives on the left, Milan has to deal with another injury during these days dedicated to the national teams, that of Alexis Saelemaekers in the Belgium jersey. The 26-year-old, in fact, emerged battered from the match against North Macedonia (which ended 0-0) and the medical evaluation the next day does not bode well for the Rossoneri.
According to the ‘Het Laatste Nieuws’ portal, Belgium’s technical commissioner Rudi Garcia has reportedly already given the player the green light to return to Milan, thus exempting him from having to attend the match against Wales scheduled for Monday 13 at Cardiff City Stadium. Saelemaekers would then immediately undergo further specific examinations to assess the’extent of the injury.
The problem that has affected Saelemaekers is muscular in nature, it has to be verified whether it is a strain or injury.
Even in the best case scenario, the injury would most likely keep him out of the match against Fiorentina on Sunday, Oct. 19, but it already puts him at risk for the matches on Friday, Oct. 24, against Pisa and Tuesday, Oct. 28, against Atalanta. The Rossoneri, then, will begin the month of November by facing Roma on Sunday 2.
Who arrived at AC Milan in January 2020, Alexis Saelemaekers returned permanently to the Rossoneri after two years on loan, first at Bologna and then at Roma. He was previously part of the Diavolo’Italia 2022-2023 champion squad, also netting two goals in the victorious tournament against Napoli and Roma itself, the latter a decisive goal to enable Milan to leave the Stadio Olimpico undefeated.
The goal was a crucial one in allowing Milan to go unbeaten at the Stadio Olimpico.
