Argentina beats Venezuela, Lautaro Martinez and Nico Paz lead the way

It took only one goal for Argentina to win the friendly match with Venezuela, played while in Italy on the night between Friday and Saturday and ended with the result 1-0. Decisive was Giovani Lo Celso′ s goal, several players on the field who usually play in Serie A. Two of them are Inter captain Lautaro Martinez and Como star Nico Paz, both of whom were great protagonists.
The 1-0 result might suggest a balanced match, and one that perhaps Argentina secured by exploiting a favorable episode to its advantage. Instead, however, Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium saw almost absolute Albiceleste dominance, with 11 shots on goal to 1 and a ball possession percentage as high as 70 percent. Only one conclusion, however, beat Contreras, the vinotinto goalkeeper on a day of grace.
He set it up as said Lo Celso, served by Lautaro Martinez who remained on the field for the entire match. All the Betis midfielder had to do was control the ball on the center-left and then unload a left-handed rocket that left Contreras no chance. Different was the fate of Lautaro himself, strong-willed but dry even after two gigantic chances to double squandered in the final.
Inspiring instead was Nico Paz. In turn, the 21-year-old Como player played the game in its entirety, showing not only his talent but also a lot of initiative. He himself came close to doubling the score more than anyone else, with a shot from outside the box that sent the ball hitting the post.
