World Cup Qualification 2026: Croatia-Gibraltar, the probable formations

On Sunday at 8:45 p.m., at Gradski Stadium in Varaždin, Croatia hosts Gibraltar in a challenge valid for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. It is a tailspin in Group L: on one side are the hosts, in the midst of a race for first place with the Czech Republic, and on the other Gibraltar, the tail end and already mathematically excluded from the World Cup race.
Dalić is expected to confirm the proven 4-2-3-1: there’s a lot of Italy in the midfield with Modric (Milan) Sucic (Inter Milan) and the more advanced Pasalic (Atalanta) acting in the three-quarter with Kramaric and Perisic, supporting the l’only point Ivanovic.
On the opposite front, Wiseman opts for a 4-3-3: in the midfield there will be space for the trio composed of Bent, Scanlon and Clinton, while in the offensive trident Vinet and De Barr will act on the lanes, with Borge as a central reference.
Probable lineups
Croatia (4-2-3-1): Livakovic; Jakic, Sutalo, Caleta-Car, Sosa; Modric, Sucic; Pasalic, Kramaric, Perisic; Ivanovic. Ct: Dalic.
Gibraltar (4-3-3): Hankins; Jolley, McClafferty, Lopes, Ronco; Bent, Scanlon, Clinton; Vinet, Borge, De Barr. Ct: Wiseman.
