World Cup Qualification 20206: Northern Ireland-Germany, the probable formations

Germany visits Northern Ireland on the fourth day of Group A of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Kickoff at 8:45 p.m. at Windsor Park in Belfast. The hosts have not beaten the Germans for more than 40’years and aim to break this long fast, in a duel that could prove decisive in the race for first place, currently occupied by Northern Ireland itself, Germany and Slovakia, all paired on six points.
O’Neill must contend with Bradley’s absence through disqualification and could fall back on Saville to occupy the right flank, with the opposite flank manned by Devenny. In midfield, space should be made for McCann, Charles and Price, while Galbraith and Reid should act in attack.
Julian Nagelsmann, on the other hand, is leaning toward confirming the defensive block consisting of Schlotterbeck, Kimmich, Tah and Raum, with Pavlovic and Goretzka in the middle. In the three-quarter, space is given to the trident formed by Adeyemi, Gnabry and Wirtz, supporting the lone striker Woltemade.
Probable lineups

.
Germany (4-2-3-1): Baumann; Kimmich, Tah, Schlotterbeck, Raum; Goretzka, Pavlovic; Adeyemi, Gnabry, Wirtz; Woltemade. All. Nagelsmann.
