Ducati, Andrea Dovizioso bluntly on Marc Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia

The’former Ducati centaur Andrea Dovizioso in an interview with Corriere della Sera spoke about Marc Marquez, the authentic ruler of the MotoGp season in his first year in the official Borgo Panigale team. “I have crossed paths with many champions like Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Stoner and Rossi, but Marc l’ve experienced him right from the start. He has always been at the top”.

“With the others there&#8217s more alternation, with him not. When one is so strong, you have to have the’humility to admit it.”. Dovizioso was a three-time world vice-champion, behind number 93: “Marc has put everyone on edge, because he is strong in all aspects. His only weakness is that he cannot contain himself, as he himself admitted”.

Dovizioso bluntly analyzed Bagnaia’s troubles: “I have heard a lot about Bagnaia and his difficulties. Apart from the technical aspect, which I don&#8217t know much about, the reality is that Marc destabilizes you. Period. I have encountered impressive talents during my career, capable of undermining my self-esteem. I experienced many difficult moments to the point that when I was racing with Honda HRC, I thought about quitting. When a rider experiences steady growth like Pecco did, to the point of winning two titles and fighting for the next one, he develops beliefs about himself. But then Marc comes along and shatters them”.

“It is a difficult situation to handle. Pecco has to find the way he wants to ride the way he wants to ride, but also the serenity that allows him to make one hundred percent. I am not in a position to give advice, but he is intelligent, he is beginning to understand and he still has a year left on his contract”.
