Kimi Antonelli confirmed with George Russell at Mercedes
George Russell and Kimi Antonelli will still be Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team drivers in 2026. This was made official in a statement by the team itself.
“I am really proud to continue our journey together – said Russell -. Next year will mark my 10th since I signed with Mercedes in 2017. It has been such a long and successful partnership with the team so far and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead, particularly on the eve of one of the biggest regulatory changes in the history of the sport next year. We are all incredibly focused on making it a success and, as far as I am concerned, building on what has been my strongest season in F1 to date”
He was echoed by Andrea Kimi Antonelli: “I am super excited to continue with the team. I learned so much in my first season in F1, both in the good times and the challenging ones. All this has made me stronger, not only as a driver but also as a teammate. I want to say thank you to Toto and everyone at Brackley and Brixworth for their continued support and faith in me. Our goal now is to finish this year strongly and secure second place in the Constructors Championship, before turning our full attention to 2026. There’s still a lot to do in these last six races and we will give it our all”.
