Premier League market: Nottingham Forest changes coach again

Nottingham Forest has chosen Sean Dyche, formerly of Everton, as its new coach: the 54-year-old Englishman takes over from Ange Postecoglou, who remained in charge for only 39 days and was exonerated after Saturday’s 3-0 defeat against Chelsea.
Dyche signed a contract until the summer of 2027 and becomes the third to sit on Forest’s bench this season. Postecoglou has not won any of his eight games as coach – two draws and six defeats – after being hired to replace Nuno Espirito Santo, who was exonerated after only three league games.
Nottingham Forest is 18th in the Premier League standings with only one win in eight matches. Dyche’s debut will be in the Europa League at home against Porto, then there will be an away match against Bournemouth in the league. Among the candidates for the English club’s bench was Roberto Mancini.
“A respected and experienced coach in the Premier League, Dyche brings with him the perfect mix of character, tactical acumen and proven results to lead the club into the future,” writes Forest in announcing the new coach.
“As a former Forest youth player, he also has a deep understanding of the values and pride of Forest and its fans. His appointment represents the best opportunity for a successful and competitive season in both domestic and European competitions”.
