MotoGP makes a stop in Malaysia this weekend, in the third-to-last round of the MotoGP World Championship. Franco Morbidelli is excited to race in Sepang, where he won his Moto2 world title in 2017 (finishing third in the same year and second in 2016, also in the middle class).

The goal this weekend for the Italian-Brazilian is to return to realizing potential after the difficulties of Australia. Franco arrives at the Malaysian Grand Prix in seventh position in the overall standings with 208 points.

“Sepang is a very different track from Phillip Island – stressed the Roman rider -, I like it a lot and I have always gone strong, so I hope I can be competitive again this year. You need a good feeling to go strong on this track”.

“I am looking forward to Malaysia after the difficult weekend in Australia. I have many good memories of Sepang, where I also won a world championship. We arrive with the goal of getting back to fighting for the top by realizing our great potential” Morbidelli commented.
