In the Juventus household, discussions regarding the future of Kenan Yildiz continue to hold sway: bids continue to pour in and the’idea of giving up stratospheric sums (there is even talk of a’€100 million offer from Real Madrid) to retain the player could falter. For Juventus coach Igor Tudor, however, Yildiz is not to be touched. At least for now.

“Kenan is an important player, perhaps the most important right now – said the Croatian coach in the press conference introducing the match between Juve and Lazio, scheduled to take place at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Sunday evening -. Whether he is comparable to Del Piero? Comparisons are delicate, we are talking about a different soccer. Alex made the history of this club, Kenan is in his first real important years”.

To find the last game in which Yildiz did not start, one has to go back to the Aug. 2 friendly drawn 2-2 against Reggiana. From there on, the Turkish national has always taken the field from the’beginning: “Other teams always try to limit him but he is a player who adapts – said Tudor -. Sometimes he needs to rest, he happened to have knee pain: it” is all part of the journey, however”.

A class of 2005, born in Regensburg, Germany, to a family of Turkish descent (hence the choice of the national team coached by Vincenzo Montella), Kenan Yildiz has been playing for Juventus since the 2022-2023 season, after his experience in Bayern Munich’s youth ranks ended. Initially employed in the Next Gen lineup in Serie C, Yildiz has been able to win an increasingly important space for himself, eventually wearing the number 10 jersey as of last season.
