In this start of the season for Roma, obvious difficulties have emerged in the scoring phase Artem Dovbyk and Evan Ferguson are not performing as expected and the club is looking for a solution to intervene as early as January.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s big dream is Joshua Zirkzee, who left a splendid memory in Italy for his experience at Bologna. The Dutch center forward is struggling considerably at Manchester United and in the winter soccer session could leave the Red Devils.

According to the BBC, however, in addition to Roma there would also be West Ham on Zirkzee’s trail. The English club is apparently willing to buy him outright immediately, unlike the Capitolini, who would prefer a loan deal with the possibility of buying him back in the summer.

Bred between Spartaan and ADO, Joshua Zirkzee in 2017 joined the youth ranks of Bayern Munich. In February 2021, Parma decided to bring him to Italy on loan, then the player continued his development at’Anderlecht.

In 2022, Bologna shelled out 27.5 million euros to sign him outright and two years later sold him back to Manchester United for more than 42 million euros.
