Antonio Conte unrestrained: still controversial about referees and De Bruyne after win in Lecce

Not even the success against Lecce and the armored supremacy in the standings appease the nervousness of Antonio Conte, who was again polemical at the end of the match at the Via del Mare: “Let’s not forget that in this beginning of the season we are facing a series of injuries of important players. In the summer there was a lot of talk about reinforcements, but we lost De Bruyne and Lukaku. Some say we are benefiting, but here we are touching the’absurd”, the Lecce coach told DAZN.

“The penalty parried by Milinkovic-Savic? Someone complained that we had bought a thick goalkeeper, there is a lot of talk, but sometimes you have to shut up and agree with those who see more than those who shoot judgments”.

Conte chastised his team for their handling of the match in the final game: “This challenge was not easy because we were coming from the match with Inter where we spent so much energy. We played against a good team, but we had to manage it better in the final”.

Conte then also vented in his press conference about De Bruyne&#8217s injury: “There are those who talk and run away. Sorry about De Bruyne&#8217s injury, I remember the headlines about his purchase for Napoli pulling away from direct competitors. Now someone dares to say he can be an asset, that&#8217s great. I give up, I hear all kinds of things. Oscar” stuff.

And then again, the refereeing controversy: “We hope that certain complaints will not affect Rocchi and the referees. We are serene and calm, but we are not dumb and it must be clear”.
