Reduced from two consecutive defeats between Eurocup and the league, Reyer Venezia is ready again to appear on the European stage to face Slask Wroclaw, a Polish league club, on Wednesday. For Neven Spahija and his players, it will be an opportunity to forget the narrow ko in the overtime against Cluj-Napoca and the defeat accrued in the second half at the Forum against Olimpia Milano.

“As always, especially after all these close trips we have faced, a tough game awaits us against a team that plays well, especially within friendly walls, and will be prepared – said Spahija at the presentation of the Eurocup game -. We had little time for preparation, but we used it to the best of our ability”.

“We hope to play better and make fewer mistakes than in our last few outings – the Orogranata coach then glossed -. As for the team, all players are healthy and ready. We will start with positive energy and with the goal of winning. They play with great intensity, they are good in the open court, and they are a team that never gives up for the whole 40 minutes, so we will have to be extremely focused”.

Amedeo Tessitori also charged up the’environment just back from the two consecutive knockouts: “We have a very intense period ahead of us– he said -: this and next will be two tough weeks because of a very busy schedule. We will have to be good at managing our energy and using it at the right time. For the game, unity and fortitude will be key. When things inevitably get tough, we will have to hold our own, listen to the coach and give our best”.
