Serie B 2025-2026: Mantua-Catanzaro, the probable formations

They are already important unteens, although the championship is still very long, those up for grabs at the ‘Martelli’ Wednesday night between Mantova and Catanzaro: the Virgilians, in fact, want to try to leave the last place in Serie B while the Calabrians aim to get out of the playout zone by giving continuity to last veenrdì’s success against Palermo.

Winless since last Aug. 30 (2-1 at Pescara), Mantua has lost five of its next seven matches, picking up points only at Avellino (0-0 on Oct. 4) and at home with Südtirol (1-1 on the 18th). Weighing down is an attack of just six goals in nine games: this is also why coach Possanzini will try an offensive lineup with Galuppini, Mancuso and Caprini forming the attacking trident.

On the other hand, the Giallorossi have regained their smiles by, among other things, kicking off the Palermo crisis: in the starting eleven on the Mantova pitch will be match winner Cissé and assistman Iemmello, who will make up the attacking pair. In midfield, Petriccione in the role of director, with Favasuli on the right and Di Chiara on the left.
