Milan market: there's Allegri’s hand in the stellar exchange with Roma

Rumors of a possible exchange between AC Milan and Roma in the January market are strengthening. The feeling between Massimiliano Allegri and Santiago Gimenez has never clicked, and the Mexican striker could end up on the market in January to find a player more congenial to the Tuscan coach’s idea of play.
According to reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri are back in pressure for Artem Dovbyk: the Ukrainian striker is struggling to establish himself at Roma under Gasperini and could relaunch himself in Milan. The’hypothesis of a Gimenez-Dovbyk swap is back in vogue and the negotiation could become concrete in the coming months, ahead of the winter market session.
In the summer, the two sides had tried to strike the deal, but an agreement had not been reached because the Rossoneri opted for a dry loan, while Roma wanted to include a right or an obligation of redemption.
Gimenez has yet to find his way to goal in Serie A this season, while Dovbyk scored his second goal in eight games Wednesday against Parma, despite starting from the bench.
