Now it’s official: Luciano Spalletti at Juventus

Now it’s official: former national team coach Luciano Spalletti is the new Juventus coach until the end of this season. Here is the text of the statement published by the Juventus club on its official website.
“Luciano Spalletti is the new coach of Juventus: the Tuscan coach has signed an agreement until June 30, 2026.”
“Born in Certaldo, in the province of Florence, in 1959, Spalletti embarked on his coaching career 30 years ago after wearing as a player among others the jersey of Spezia and Empoli. It was at the Tuscan club that he began his experience on the bench, winning a Coppa Italia Serie C and then gaining space in Serie A, managing to establish himself as one of the most innovative coaches in the Italian league.”
“Consecration came with Udinese in the early 2000s, with whom he achieved three consecutive years of access to European competitions and in the 2004/05 championship he won the first historic Champions League qualification for the Friulian club, which then led him over the next four seasons to Roma, with whom he won two Italian Cups and an Italian Super Cup.”
“From 2009 to 2014 Spalletti led Zenit St. Petersburg, with whom he won two championships, a cup and a Russian Super Cup, before returning to Italy, sitting again on the Roma bench first and then on the Inter bench. Italian champion at the end of the 2022/23 season with Napoli, the Tuscan coach was then the coach of the Italian national team until last June.”
“A profile of competence and experience that we are pleased to welcome to the Juventus family: welcome to Juventus and good work, coach!”
