ATP Finals, Lorenzo Musetti’s move to fend off Felix Auger-Aliassime’s onslaught

Lorenzo Musetti will play next week at the ATP 250 tournament in Athens. The 23-year-old from Carrara is chasing the points needed to secure the eighth and final available spot for the ATP Finals in Turin, scheduled for Nov. 9-16.
A decision made necessary after the Blue’s elimination on his debut in Paris and the simultaneous semifinal win by his closest rival, Felix Auger-Aliassime, who is now only 90 points behind him.
The Canadian was already entered in the ATP 250 in Metz, while Musetti had planned to end the “regular season” in Paris. The Race situation, however, has “forced” Lorenzo to work overtime, not to mention that Auger-Aliassime could close the games by winning in Paris.
