Ducati, Valentino Rossi sends a signal to Pedro Acosta

In 2027, the MotoGP grid could be completely revolutionized, as most centaurs’ contracts expire at the end of 2026. Among the riders to change teams will most likely be KTM’s Pedro Acosta: the Spaniard has long been courted by several teams, such as Valentino Rossi’s VR46 team headed by the Doctor’s right-hand man, Uccio Salucci.
“Of course we want him, but it will not be easy. We have a spot available for him in 2027 and we will do everything we can to hire him. But we also have to keep in mind that we still have work to do in 2025 and throughout 2026” these are the words taken from Speedweek.
“All seats on the factory team are open for 2027. Maybe they will offer him a Ducati saddle, or Aprilia, I don’t know. Everyone wants a rider like Acosta”.
“The team is where it is now thanks to the’help of the Academy riders. Bezzecchi, Marini… they grew up with us. But today we are just another MotoGP team” , Uccio explained.
