Scott McTominay, who made a difference in the past league, and not surprisingly was named ‘best footballer of Serie A 2024-25,’ is back in the spotlight. After a brief dip in form, the Napoli midfielder he raised the bar again, also scoring a stunning goal at Inter who made Maradona go crazy.

The former Manchester United Scot continues to prove that he is a complete, solid and consistent player. His performances are attracting the interest of several top European clubs, and it cannot be ruled out that heavy offers will arrive soon.

According to ESPN, Barcelona is also reportedly keeping a close eye on the midfielder. Although there are already important names in the roster, the blaugrana would like to add a physically strong and ductile element, capable of covering multiple roles in the middle of the field.

For now, it appears there has been no official contact, but Barça will continue to keep an eye on McTominay: the Catalans could make a concrete move next summer if not, even, at the reopening of the market in January for the player who will turn 29 in December.
