Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Allianz Cloud in Milan will be staged the derby between Vero Volley Monza and Allianz Milano, divided in the standings by only one length. On the one hand the meneghini hunting for redemption after two consecutive defeats, on the other hand the Brianzoli are looking for continuity of results after the success against Cuneo.

Three points for Vero Volleyball, won Wednesday at the Opiquad Arena in the challenge with MA Acqua S. Bernardo Cuneo; one less for Milan, the result of the tie-break victory in the first day against Modena. It will be derby number 28 between the two teams: previous records smile on Allianz Milano, which has won on sixteen occasions so far against the brianzoli&#8217s eleven successes.

It will also be the match of the many exes: they have played in Monza in the past Gabriele Di Martino and Fernando Kreling, while the opposite path has been taken by central players Jacopo Larizza and Leandro Mosca. The match, refereed by Alessandro Rossi and Maurizio Canessa, will be broadcast live on DAZN and VBTV.

“It will definitely be a hard-fought match since it is a derby – said Jacopo Larizza -. Our opponents come from two defeats and will want to make up for it in front of their audience. We will have to enter the field convinced and aggressive to bring home a new useful result”.

“What does this match mean for me being the’former team on duty? When you play against a former team the motivation increases, several guys on Milan&#8217s current roster were my teammates last season and it will be nice to see them again even if on the other side of the net. Now, however, we just have to think about giving continuity of results after the win with Cuneo” concluded the Vero Volley Monza center.
