It took just one hour for Jannik Sinner to beat again Alexander Zverev (already defeated in the final of the Vienna tournament) and qualify for the final act of the Paris Masters 1000: 6-0, 6-1 was the score of a match that was never in dispute, dominated from start to finish by the current number 2 in the world, who now needs only one hurdle to regain the top of the ATP rankings (he will need to win the tournament to overcome Carlos Alcaraz).

That this is a less balanced match than the one played only a few days ago in Vienna can be seen from the first exchanges: Sinner immediately goes ahead by a break, then repeats himself in the other two games on his opponent’s serve and goes on to end the first set without leaving the German even the crumbs. In fact, it was only at the beginning of the second fraction that the first and only game won by Zverev arrived.

.

From there on, it was again Sinner’s domination, stringing six consecutive games and closing the match on the first match point available, thus confirming that he is almost unbeatable on concrete, where he has won 18 of the 19 matches played since Sept. 25, with the only defeat coming in Shanghai against Griekspoor but only by withdrawal.

Jannik Sinner’s opponent in the final of the Paris Masters 1000 will be Felix Auger-Aliassime, who in the semifinal played just earlier also defeated Alexander Bublik in two sets, 7-6(3), 6-4. It will be the fifth official challenge overall between the champion from Sesto Pusteria and the Canadian, who have so far evenly split the previous four matches.
