Eight out of 11 matches, all as a starter: Alexis Saelemaekers is a pillar of Massimiliano Allegri’s Milan. The Belgian outfielder&#8217s versatility, also used as a trequartista and as a forward, and his high performance on the pitch have won over the Tuscan coach, who does not want to know about doing without him. Saelemaekers, last year on loan at Roma, has a contract until 2027 and the Diavolo wants to armor him as soon as possible to avoid nasty surprises.

According to rumors, negotiations have already begun for a renewal of the player’s contract, with a substantial adjustment of his salary. The dialogue continues apace and an agreement could soon be reached, given the common will of the two parties.

The Belgian player, surprisingly rejected in the past by the Rossoneri managers, has returned central to Milan’s future strategies after two years spent on loan at Bologna and Roma.

Saelemaekers, who joined Milan in 2020, won the Scudetto with the Rossoneri in 2022 and is one of the team’s veterans. He has 19 appearances with the Belgian national team.
