Without Alessandro Gentile, Urania folds leading Verona

A trick worthy of Halloween that Wegreenit Urania Milano pulls off against Verona. The Wildcats, deprived of Amato and Gentile, play the perfect game: Taylor (25 points) is the top scorer but the work of the whole group of coach Cardani is extraordinary. Morgillo is already perfectly inserted in the red-blue mechanisms, the grit of Sabatini, the courage of Rashed and the reliability of Lupusor and D’Almeida, in addition to a surgical and decisive Cavallero in the final. An extraordinary McGee is not enough for Verona.
Good start for Urania that immediately finds two good internal conclusions, Sabatini and Morgillo, by Lupusor from the corner the triple for the first mini break of the match, 7-2. Second untimely penalty for Morgillo but Wildcats don’t stop biting, Taylor and Sabatini for double digit lead, 12-2. Gialloblu reaction led by veteran Baldi Rossi and Poser, rougher guest defense, some referee calls ignite the Allianz Cloud, 14-9 first half. Continues with energy coach Cardani’s troop even in the opening of the second period, coach Cavina rotates his endless bench to look for new resources, McGee from the arc for the minus 4, 21-17. Milan holds up taking advantage of Morgillo’s excellent impact, rhythm and speed for the Rossoblu offense that finds the plus 8 again with Taylor, 28-20. Final quarter favorable to the Venetians, wastes a few free throws by an albeit combative D’Almeida, 37-31.
After the long break Wildcats always battle, Taylor answers McGee with two torpedoes from sidereal distance and maximum Wegreenit lead, 45-34. Tezenis comeback attempts in the central part of the third period forcefully repelled by Morgillo and teammates, Sabatini seals the plus 13, 55-42. Another Gialloblu push with Ambrosini and Monaldi in evidence, Cavallero doesn’t give discounts from the lunette, Urania ahead 60-47 at the penultimate siren. Milan flies up to plus 18 before Verona’s rabid comeback, Ambrosin again protagonist, Bolpin signs the minus 11, 65-54. The host zone and some fatigue among the Wildcats produces a new recovery by Ambrosin and teammates, 65-59.
A flash of Taylor does not extinguish the Verona comeback, 69-65 by an unstoppable McGee. Fouls go up in the Milanese house, 4 for Sabatini, D’Almeida and Sabatini, Morgillo dunks 73-68. Verona snatches a couple of precious offensive rebounds, Urania has endless heart, by Cavallero the treble that sends McGee out of the challenge, 76-70. Wegreenit knows how to suffer with humility until the end, it’s Taylor’s basket that sends the final credits,79-73 the final.
