Inter market goes to Bavaria for a feisty Frenchman

The future is also on the mind of an Inter team that has been at the top in Italy for years and has played the Champions League final twice in three years: for the rearguard, a major target for Beppe Marotta is Dayot Upamecano, whose contract with Bayern Munich is expiring.
The experienced French defender has made significant economic demands to renew: a salary increase and a signing bonus. However, these conditions do not align with the German club’s strategy, which aims to cut costs.
Nico Schlotterbeck, also approached in recent weeks by Liverpool, has also become a starter in Germany: Real Madrid wants him to rejuvenate its defense, Barcelona needs him to strengthen its own. In pole position, however, is Bayern Munich itself, which has taken little time in finding an alternative to Upamecano.
Inter Milan, as is obvious, is not the only one interested in the former Salzburg and RB Leipzig: Real Madrid, Liverpool, PSG and Manchester United are also following the situation closely.
