Lorenzo Musetti imitates Jannik Sinner: meet the new supercoach

Lorenzo Musetti expands his technical staff ahead of 2026: from December, the Italian tennis player in addition to longtime coach Simone Tartarini will also be managed by supercoach José Perlas. The Spanish coach, born in 1960, has coached several big names on the circuit in the past.
According to reports from Spaziotennis, Perlas will join the world number 9’s team during the Carraresi tennis player’s winter preparation, scheduled for December in Monte Carlo.
Captain of Spain, which won the first two Davis Cups in its history, Perlas has won two Slams as a coach with Carlos Moya and Albert Costa. In his career he has also guided Guillermo Coria, Nicolas Almagro, and Ligurian Fabio Fognini for an impressive five years from 2012 to 2016.
Musetti is currently busy in Athens to obtain the necessary points for the ATP Finals in Turin: the Azure will have to win the Greek tournament to secure his qualification and join Jannik Sinner in the long-awaited event scheduled under the Grande Mole.
